What will you say to the world when it asks you who you are?
Hi, I am a Teacher turned Software Specialist turned Real estate Agent with Zolo Realty, Brokerage. My goal is a home for everyone and gives back to my community in every possible way I can.
What motivated you to join the Real Estate Business?
When I landed in Canada 11 years ago as an immigrant, I noticed three occupations that individuals from my community were working in, Transportation, Driving Instructor, and Real estate agents so I had to be one of these, right? Just kidding, Real estate runs in my blood. My Dad was a real estate agent for 30+years so we have an atmosphere of talking about real estate a lot and that’s why the real estate business fascinated me the most. The fact that I am the person who makes the right home find its right family and I am a key person of interest in the most valuable transactions in one’s life makes it challenging and rewarding at the same time.
Do you have any daily routines to be more productive?
Preparation for the next day in advance keeps me on track. Being a Mom and a Businesswoman are entirely two different zones and preparing in advance helps me to achieve the goals I have set out for that day. I wake up at 6 am, Meditate, pay my gratitude to God for 5 -10 min and then start my day. I write tasks that I need to complete asap on a sticky note and put them on my board so it is visible and it’s a reminder to myself to get it done.
What’s more important growing a brand or doing more deals?
In real estate how you treat your consumer and maintain that relationship establishes your goodwill among people. You as a real estate agent are the brand in itself. My dad was a very respected man in the real estate industry because he genuinely thought about the consumer in that transaction, How that transaction is going to affect this family, he told me if you do good to people, money will follow eventually. But doing your job with emotions makes it even more satisfying in the end than getting more deals done in a month. A person who does good to others definitely sleeps better.
What was the best piece of advice you ever got since you came into the Real estate business?
Keep yourself outside of the transaction-based business mindset. Look at the deal from the consumer’s point of view and give your best advice to your client.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to play with my kids whenever I get some time and listen to good music.
Tell us about your achievements?
In Real estate, you get to meet so many people, and every person has a story to tell, I love listening to them and helping them find their right place. So far I have helped many families find a place they call home and I am very proud of it. Having a smile on my client’s face is my biggest achievement.
Do you use Scripts?
Yes, everyone uses scripts, and so do I. Script to me is a way to navigate and make sure to get as many details as possible in the most effective way. You need to know what you are going to say and scripts give you that clarity.
What are the challenges you have faced so far?
Being a woman in the real estate industry is challenging enough in itself. Still, I find that finding the right home and winning that offer for your client in today’s crazy market is even more challenging.
Any piece of advice for your realtor friends?
That don’t be those realtors who put each other down rather help each other, even in cases where you see other realtors’ mistakes, before bashing them on social media or behind their back instead reach out to them and tell them gently.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My kids are my biggest supporters after my Mom, husband, and sisters. My son even cheers with me after every deal and I think is my force to give back to my community. Better community, Better future for our kids.
